Thank you, GNML!

Reflection
In the beginning of my exchange year I decided to take every opportunity that life gives me. Some kind of "never say "no" " . That's how I became a part of GNML. It is something that you cannot just forget when you finish sessions, GNML and your campaign become a part of you. My campaign is "Stop bullying" - it is a problem that become bigger even though we are trying to solve it. Thanks to GNML is learned how to start and develop your own campaign, own idea using social media. Honestly, I've never thought before that it can be so easy.
During all ten sessions I met a lot of people with their own great ideas how to change the world. And reading their blogs, watching their videos- I had feeling that we are the generation that really can make a difference. We all did a great work.. But it's just a beginning. GNML gave us a big start.
Now I'm also thinking about starting a church youth group in my city, because I know that it's possible! And there is nothing to be afraid of! Plus , of course, I will continue developing "stop bullying" campaign, reaching my big goal- creating the whole web-site.
With GNML I had unforgettable experience which will help in my fit ire life a lot. Thank you!

Using social media:
During ten GNML sessions I used social media to let people know about me. Some of them I ve already knew, some were totally new for me. Here is a brief description of each :
Blogger: I'm familiar with blogs for around 3 years. So having a blog and posting different articles was a pleasure for me. I think that the best communication with your reader and people who are interested in your campaign goes through the blog. I tried to write on different topics and make it interesting.
Twitter:  it is very useful when you want to write something very short (like a quote or fast thought about your campaign), also it is very good if you want to post URL of article or image from other web-sites. In such way you try to keep your readers updated.
YouTube: it is not a secret that people receive information better through images and videos that from long articles. It's very important to give a visual example of your idea to give followers understanding what you want to do. I had fun of creating video for my campaign =)
Facebook: I think that Facebook is the best place to find new readers and followers. By posting short thoughts, sharing it through friends your campaign can become popular very fast.
Instagram: when people see the photos- examples of your problem- people understand its importance much better. The biggest suggestion- upload photos taken by you, not to steal them from the internet, and then people will be interested in it.
LinkedIn: it was the last social media which I faced.. And the most confusing =) honestly, I've never heard about it before. But that's what we call "experience". I think that it can be very useful when campaign becomes more popular and a lot of people get interested.

I can say one thing - it was a great experience to start your own campaign using social media. Now I understand that I can change the world. Maybe I didn't post a lot of things, but it's just because of life of exchange student - everything going on so fast! In the future (especially when I come back to Ukraine) I'll have more time to write and being involved in developing my campaign.
I'm not saying "good bye", it's just the beginning...
